A Bit About Me
Hi, I'm Juhani, an ISTQB® certified Software Tester and English-to-Finnish translator. I'm a native Finnish speaker, and I currently reside in sunny Barcelona, Spain. I've always had a knack for languages and technology.

I grew up in Finland, and over the years I've dedicated myself to honing my translation skills, specializing in translating and refining web content from English to Finnish. This includes both human-written and AI-generated content. People often turn to me for proofreading websites and apps in Finnish, ensuring that the language feels natural and resonates perfectly with the local audience.

In addition to translation, I have a passion for streamlining work processes. I hold a certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, which means I excel at finding innovative ways to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.

My experience in software testing covers a wide range of projects, including mobile apps, websites, and desktop software. I've worked on diverse tech projects, ensuring that software is in optimal condition for deployment and user-facing content is accurate and polished.

What sets me apart is my ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, guaranteeing effective and transparent communication throughout our collaboration.

Freelance Quality Assurance and Translator:
I work as a freelance English-to-Finnish translator and quality assurance specialist. I translate and review a wide range of content, including AI-generated text, making sure the Finnish is accurate, natural, and suitable for the intended audience.
I often help improve AI prompts, check AI outputs, and proofread Finnish content to catch language issues before publication, even when deadlines are tight.

I work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide practical, tailored solutions. This includes testing AI-generated content, verifying terminology, and ensuring the final Finnish text is clear, consistent, and easy to read.

I have experience with business, technology, social media, and e-commerce content. I manage projects independently and am known for being reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of confidentiality.
Translation work in Software Quality Assurance:
​In my role, I had the pivotal responsibility of coordinating and managing the release of translated content, significantly enhancing product accessibility for diverse global audiences.
Additionally, I was deeply involved in the software testing process, from designing test cases based on User Story-level criteria to conducting peer reviews for comprehensive coverage.
Translation work in Process Improvement:
A significant part of my role was handling translations for all the new content on our website and making sure that technical terms and phrases were adapted to suit different languages.
I worked closely with IT experts and translators, ensuring smooth teamwork, to create tailored solutions that perfectly aligned with our business goals.
